Fashion 101 Gets Some Ink 19

Long-running cultural mouthpiece Ink 19 gave our Fashion 101: A Crash Course in Clothing book some props this month. Here's a blurb from their review:

This comprehensive and fun volume lives up to its title and introduces readers to he intricacies of women's fashion, including definitions, history, and descriptions. Most of the not-so-common entries also include simple but effective illustrations. I don't know how many times I found myself saying, "So that's what (insert clothing name here) looks like." Information about each item includes "who made them hot" and historical factoids like how Tommy Hilfiger got started reselling bell-bottoms to wannabe hippies outside New York City.
